These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of driving lessons and related services by H&H Driving School (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the pupil”, “you”). By booking or taking a lesson with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not book or continue with lessons.

1. Booking & Provision of Lessons

1.1 Lessons are provided by fully qualified, DVSA-approved driving instructors operating under or in association with H&H Driving School.

1.2 All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only once payment (or deposit) has been received and we have sent confirmation.

1.3 You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence (or appropriate recognised equivalent) and be legally entitled to drive in the UK. You must produce your licence to your instructor before or on your first lesson.

1.4 You must be at least 17 years old (or 16 if in receipt of the enhanced rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment / Disability Living Allowance).

1.5 You must notify us immediately of any change to your health, medical condition, eyesight, medication, or any matter that may affect your ability to drive safely. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the lesson without refund.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 All lessons must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed. Payment secures your lesson time.

2.2 Prices are as stated on our website or quoted at the time of booking. Prices include VAT where applicable.

2.3 We accept payment by [list methods: e.g. bank transfer, cash, card via secure processor]. Full card details are not stored by us.

2.4 Block bookings / lesson packages are non-refundable except in accordance with our cancellation policy (below) or if we cancel.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

3.1 You must give at least 24 hours’ notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Failure to do so will result in the full lesson fee being charged / forfeited.

3.2 If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel the lesson without refund or to shorten it accordingly (with no reduction in fee).

3.3 We will give you at least 24 hours’ notice if we need to cancel or reschedule (except in emergencies). If we cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, we will offer a full refund or rebook at no extra cost.

3.4 In the event of extreme weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, or other circumstances beyond our control, lessons may be cancelled. We will offer a rebooking or refund at our discretion.

4. Pupil Conduct & Responsibilities

4.1 You must be in a fit state to drive (not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication that impairs driving, or excessively tired).

4.2 Smoking, eating, drinking (except water), or using mobile phones during lessons is not permitted.

4.3 You must treat your instructor and vehicle with respect. Abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate termination of the lesson and the contract, with no refund.

4.4 Any damage caused to the vehicle by misuse or negligence will be your responsibility (excess may apply).

4.5 You are responsible for any fines, penalty points, or legal costs arising from your driving during or after lessons.

5. Vehicle & Insurance

5.1 Lessons are conducted in a modern, dual-controlled, fully insured vehicle maintained to a high standard.

5.2 Our insurance covers you as a learner driver for tuition purposes only. It does not cover driving outside of lessons or in your own vehicle.

6. Test Bookings & Practical Tests

6.1 We do not guarantee a test pass or a specific test date. Success depends on your ability, preparation, and the examiner’s decision.

6.2 If you use our vehicle for your practical test, the normal lesson rate applies for the appointment time (including waiting time).

6.3 You must inform us immediately if you cancel or change your test date so we can adjust arrangements.

7. Liability

7.1 We provide tuition to the best of our ability but do not guarantee you will pass your test or obtain a licence.

7.2 We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss (including loss of earnings, test fees, or additional lessons).

7.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

7.4 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Data Protection

8.1 Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on our website), which forms part of these terms.

9. Complaints & Disputes

9.1 If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance. We will aim to resolve it within 14 days.

9.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website. Continued lessons after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Entire Agreement

These terms (together with our Privacy Policy and any booking confirmation) constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
